Zion Market

Notes:

Down from unknown reason – REMOVED – Zion market, 100% multisig with no user wallets. Buyers can choose 2-of-2 (server & vendor have the keys) or 2-of-3 (buyer also has a key). 2FA, automated PGP, and Bitmessage alerts. Accept Monero (XMR) by immediately converting it and sending it to your BTC

Been offline for over a week?
5.0

I’m going to guess and say I think the feds have captured their server? Maybe they are reverse engineering the site code as we speak? If it comes back up we need to make sure its not a honey pot. Its a shame as it was my favorite market. Is there a way that the site devs can reach out to us and let us know whats happening?

5.0

No deposits have been withdrawn by admin because its a multisig market lol. Complete FUD again.

But yes it has been offline for 2 days.

Zion if you are closing the doors at least release all multisignature payments, please lol. Otherwise they just end up getting lost, we don’t get them and you don’t either.

The site is great
5.0

This site is actually very good I’ve used it for a while and vendors love it. All the people saying there’s a loophole are lying saying they’ve been on here with all these rating when I haven’t seen one big vendor stop vending recently it’s all fud. The site has a good ui and the support is very active having the fastest response times I’ve ever had on a DNM I have done 30 orders on this website without a single problem. Tons of vendors stand behind it. It’s been open for a whole year already and I don’t see it going down anytime soon.

STAY AWAY FROM ZION EXPECIALLY VENDORS!!
0.5

The loophole is real! I checked myself I have almost 0.5 BTC missing because Zion has not released all the funds to me from customers cancelling their orders and then re-ordering. IF YOU ARE A VENDOR STAY AWAY! Once this gets out there will be scammers galore on that market!

loophole for customers
0.5

I am a vendor on zion but will be moving to a different market. I have over 200 sales on zion all positive. Today i found out there is a flaw in their system. If a vendor cancels a order for any reason a customer can reopen the same order with the vendor. If customer fixed whatever is wrong with order and vendor ships order. The loophole is that when the customer releases escrow they release it to themselves not to the vendor. when contacting support they reply elevating to IT department. but nothing is done!!! loophole cost me a lot of money stay away from this market

Zion Excellent Market But Needs Mirror Links
5.0

Zion really is an incredible market. Its fast, easy to navigate and offers buyers one of the most secure payment systems out of all the current markets.

But ZION TEAM this market NEEDS mirror links URGENTLY. Its not such a problem for buyers as they can use another market when Zion is under DDOS but its EXTREMELY important for your vendors.

Yes people, Zion market is currently under heavy DDOS attacks.

ZION IS NOT SCAMMING..SOLID MARKET
5.0

Zion Market is a solid up and coming market. Do not believe the ridiculous reviews about the market stealing BTC from a buyers wallet or escrow. They seem to be written by the same moron who most likely just cannot navigate the process. It is a little more involved than some of the other markets but for a good reason. BTC is deposited into an escrow account requiring both buyer and seller to sign and broadcast transactions. The process takes a little know how but is relatively simple if you follow directions. Your money is never in a “wallet” that the market can just run off with. The moment you send it to the escrow account, the transaction has begun and can be followed on the blockchain. An exit scam is simply not possible because the market NEVER has your money. The commission paid to the market is deducted from the BTC you send to the vendor and it’s sent to a different address….again…this can be viewed on the block chain. ZION Market is the ONLY market where you can’t get burned by the market itself. They set it up that way. I have made several purchases and never had an issue. Support responds within 24 hours every time and the number of vendors and products is growing steadily. The guy who keeps leaving the bad review just needs to follow directions.

Why it won't last and is no good
2.5

Zion market looks pretty serious at first. They did a pretty good job on the design and it looks pretty organized. There’s just one problem: the vendor bond is really cheap and is given back to the vendor as sales commission money for the initial sales, meaning that as soon as the money is on their account, they don’t really lose money on the initial sales because the money is slowly deducted from that initial amount. What’s more, that money is so low that any scammer with about 60 bucks can open up an account and start scamming people.

On the face of it, such a lower starting point might not seem like a big deal. After all, it’s nice for vendors and business, right? Well, no, not exactly. The problem with giving vendors such great incentives is that for every vendor, you have all the more buyers. And for every number of buyers, you have money. Money that goes into the wallets. Money that goes into purchases and escrow. And, money that therefore goes into the site’s hands.

The cheaper the vendor bond, and in this case it’s really, really cheap, the more vendors you have. The more vendors you have, the more buyers you have. The more buyers you have, the more money you have. The more money you have, the more incentive to close up shop and walk away. And that is exactly the new market buyers have to deal with today.

So, here is how you judge the value of a market today. Check out the bond fee. Open up an account, and look at how much the bond is to become a vendor. If it’s high, as in 300 bucks, then most trailer trash can’t afford to risk that much money. If it’s even higher than that, say 600 bucks or something, then that is a sign that the site is in it for the long run. Why? Because the site knows that not every Dick in the woods can come on down and open up shop. To be on that market means that you are there to make your money back. So if you’re selling credit cards at 15 bucks a pop, or little packets of candy for 50 bucks, it’s going to take you a long time to start making money and not just a long time, but a lot of valid sales. That will only very slowly accumulate social value for the market, since its reputation will increase.

So in short, look for the site where the vendor has a reason not to fuck you. Their own investment.

Another way to determine if the escrow in the site is worth a damn is by simply looking in the forum and seeing what people say. By and large, when you read an amazon criticism or comment, it’s from an actual experience. If a lot of people are all claiming the same thing about some phone that you wan to try out, or some new mattress, then chances are, those random people are telling the truth. Just read what they are saying and pay attention. If the people are all saying “it’s the best ever” but not giving a real evaluation of the product, then you know the evaluations can’t be trusted. Keep reading and chances are you’ll see some sucker saying how shitty it really is and how the evaluations are bs. Same principle on markets. Read for lost btc or escrow deals gone wrong. The reason that matters is not just that you’ll get an idea of how safe your money is should you decide to do a deal (since with no escrow at all, nearly no deal can be made), it will also be a good indication of how trustworthy the site is since they could also have their own vendor accounts that they scam you from by making you think you are buying a legit product and then once you send the money, it’s simply lost in the escrow or you’re scammed but ignored.

One very important principle of darknet sites right now is this:

Darkenet sites have a much harder time than buyers are probably willing to realize. If you don’t realize this, you and the entire market are going to suffer until the entire market realizes it. This isn’t a joke.

So what is there to realize? What you have to realize is that markets face two very distinct threats. 1. The police. Not just one police force, but severeal, all working together to take them down. To find them and put them away, in some cases for life. These darknet markets and sites are run and coordinated by professionals trained in computing, and they usually have pretty good lives compared to your average street thug. Some of them have very good lives, actually. Families, jobs, etc. So that threat is huge. Imagine if suddenly you’re all over the news for running a huge, huge drug trafficking and million dollar money-laundering site…
People with established lives would often just kill themselves rather than go through with any legal battle where they’re just going to lose everything, no matter what.

The other threat is 2. Hackers. Tons of hackers are now able to steal or dox or blackmail them into forking over all their btc. So not only have they orgnized and worked hard and taken the huge-ass risk of making all that money, but they have another, really serious enemy on their hands, which are people just as educated as them who are trying to stab them in the back. After all, why go to all that trouble (setting up a site, running it, taking all the risk, etc) if you can just hack the site yourself and steal all their money? And so that is what happens.

So again, what is there to realize that’s so revolutionary? It’s that sites know about these two problems and so they have a huge, huge incentive to set up shop for a few months, make as much as they can and then “get scammed” out of all their money so most of the site just accepts getting hammered in the ass. Because if it’s not that first five months or so where the site walks away with its life still intact, maybe in one year the police will find them or in one year hackers really will take all their money. So know that about markets now. It’s no longer the Alphabay days. That’s gone.

The new darknet is going to be run in the same way that torrenting sites are run. The way they will be run is in small private sites that everyone has to be INVITED to in order to get in. You might think initially that such is stupid, but it’s actually not. That will keep sites very specific (certain kinds of drugs only, certain kinds of crime only), very small (no more than like 5k users, most of the time), and it will also keep scams down and most hackers and police forces away, since hackers will have less of an incentive to “hack” everything, since there won’t be that much to steal. And the police will have much less of an incentive to take down anyone site, because there will be more sites (way more) and they will all be relatively small. And, all the sites will pretty much all ban what the police have no choice but to go after, things like terrorism and child sex slaves, etc.

That is what’s going to happen because there is no decentralized model that can work for the moment.

To get invites, people will probably sell them, and the admin will probably have to keep an eye on that somehow, but that’s the model that will work. And that is exactly why all the huge torrenting sites that used to allow anybody to come and download as much as they want… have all been taken down. They all get too big and the police eventually see that they are too big to ignore and so they have to be taken down. Same principle on the darknet. If the site is making millions and millions of dollars every month… the reality is that such is simply too big for the world’s police force to ignore. So it loses. Stay small, specific, private…

That is the new darkweb.

ZION IS THE BEST UPCOMING MARKET - WORKS FAULTLESSLY WITH ADMINS QUICK TO HELP WITH ANY ISSUES 10/10

From my personal experience this is a great upcoming marking growing day by day. I have used the site without any issues and staff help center are quick to reply to any questions and do their utmost best to help.

The choice of Bitcoin or Monero payments works for the best of both worlds depending on your preference.

Zion is a solid and easy to navigate marketplace and will be sticking around as it grows organically. They have been around a while now and I have seen nothing but improvements.

Could not recommend more 10/10 so far.

This's the shit I don't like
2.0

Following the collapse of AB -> TR -> Aero, I decided to make an order off of zion and see how it goes.

Brief Summary of my experience:

The site is slow and laggy, not exactly the most well designed and it’s somewhat broken. ie on some pages my balance reads $9 where on others it may say $4. With my remaining balance of “$9” I try to make an order only to find out I can’t pay with my balance because I need a mininum of 0.001btc to pay for orders using my balance. WTF Zion no other market that I can recall does this. This forces users to more money in their wallets.

Zion may had implemented this because it may had been designed from the ground up to exit scam. That’s just pure speculation, but I don’t particularly find myself desiring to use zion again. maybe if every other market worst I’ll add money to my wallet, till then I’m gonna explore my other options.

Hey I used the URL from deepdotweb.com and then tried to make a withdrawal after a vendor canceled my order. I then got in touch with him on WickR and I was going to send the funds to him from my Zion account. I waited two and a half hours during pending withdrawals and then finally canceled assuming my funds would be back in my account. I canceled the pending withdrawal and it took all my BTC. I contacted admins 2 times and they have not replied can you please help me out. Please share opinions and let me know if anything similar is happening to anyone else.

why people gotta hate. It was total BS that there even was a scam, they just went down for a couple of weeks but they are running strong! Just use your head select your vendor wisely, and treat it like any other market. I have had many successfull transactions and never run into a problem, and the best part is there is no wallet, you just pay at then end. To wrap that up they cant exit scam… transactions are set to auto release to vendors even if the market crashes. These guys are pros and they know what they are doing. apparantly more than ddw.c, I always knew that this site would be forced to list them as a legit market. Use common since and you will be fine!!

Some signs of life
3.5

Hi. I wanted to follow up on my previous review (the one by johnkasich) from a day ago. After having my first review published on deepdotweb.com I wrote a message to Zion customer support indicating that my dissatisfaction with their service led me to write that review and unless they reach back to me with some answers and/or solutions, I will continue to write simillar reviews in here and other places. About 12 hours later I got a message from them informing me that they reviewd my claim and accepted my request for a refund since the vendor involved still has not replied or even read the latest messages for almost one week now. I accepted and one hour later I had my coins back safely into my wallet. So, after all it looks like it’s not quite a ghost town and that the admins/moderators do show up after all, but to be honest I’m not sure they would have done that if I had not written my first review. Anyway, regardless of the timings, I do have to give them kudos for finally doing the right thing and refunding me. I think it would be much better for them if they would be more involved and responsive but at least in this case they did not scam me or allowed the vendor to scam me… Hopefully they’ll take this experience as a learning moment about proper customer service, improve their system and grow their market.

Ghost town
1.0

This market is like a ghost town. There are just a few vendors around and those who are there are not very active or are just charging more for the same product/service they offer on other markets under the same username. More than a weeek ago I placed an order with a vendor who accepted it and then went silent. Few days later I started a dispute and never heard back from any admin or moderator. No updates or notices about the status of the dispute. No request for more info or offers for resolving it. It’s just total silence as the days go by and the escrow will probably be released to the vendor due to autofinalize. So, if the admins/moderators are not around to do their job then obviously some of the vendors will take advantage of that and steal your coins. For this reasons I advize you to just stay away from this market.

Nice New Market
5.0

Zion is a very cool, user friendly Dark Net Market utilizing features designed to enhance security, anonymity and fraud/scam protection. For example, BTC is not held in a wallet..the market uses 2/2 2/3 multi sig protocols so as a vendor you cannot be scammed..at least not under current circumstances and as a buyer, you are still offered full escrow. I have found support to be very timely in responding to issues while exhibiting an enormous amount of patience with newbies. The product listing is growing and they are willing to float the vendor bond until you complete some sales…just ask. I’m rather excited about this market and expect good things from it in the future.

It has some nice functions for both buyers and vendors.

It has a few bugs but I reported some and they were fixed in minutes.. very fast support

Bart
